Introducing SHARON!

The Book Barbies is not meant to have one blogger only and I'm so happy to share with you the news that TBB is no longer single!!

Sharon, who previously blogged at Fictionally Inclined has asked to join me as part of TBB and my answer was big fat YES TIMES A MILLION! because like I said, TBB is not meant for one person only.

I could not be happier about this! Besides the fact that I love Sharon, who's just an all around super awesome person, we have a really similar taste in books so I really couldn't find a person more perfect than Sharon! (Anybody who is a fan of Lisa Kleypas has a special place in my heart.) So without further ado, here is the new half of TBB:

Hello, all! I'm Sharon, the new resident Book Barbie. I'm a 22-year-old college student with a crazy love of books, an obsession with quotes, and a myriad of fictional boyfriends. I dislike sleep and odd numbers. I detest coffee, but I love tea and hot cocoa. I adore cool words like plethora and evanescent. I am a Christmas enthusiast. Friends is my favorite show ever, and I quote it about ten times more often than I actually get to use my aforementioned fancy words. I abuse the capslock feature on occasion and have a penchant for rambling. I don't watch horror movies.  My favorite color is cerulean, and I like things that sparkle.  What else? I love talking about books! Drop me a comment, shoot me a Tweet, send me a smoke signal (although I'm not sure I can interpret that last one without at least a little help).

Here are some of my favorite authors, just so you can get to know my taste a little:

Historical Romance: Lisa Kleypas, Julia Quinn, Courtney Milan, Eloisa James, Tessa Dare
Contemporary Romance: Jill Shalvis, Kristan Higgins, Sarah Mayberry, Julie James, Shannon Stacey
Young Adult: Sarah Dessen, Deb Caletti, Stephanie Perkins, Richelle Mead, Tahereh Mafi

If you'd like to get to know a little more about my bookish taste - or just indulge my love of cheesy games - go ahead and ask me bookish "or" questions in the comments. Examples: "Jane Austen or Charlotte Brontë?" or "Hardback or paperback?" or "Dimitri or Adrian?"

(For the record: Jane Austen, paperback, and Adrian Black heart (cards).)
Also, for the occasion, we decided to create a joint twitter account where we could tweet about bloggy stuff: @thebookbarbies. Fun!

Here are all the methods to stalk Sharon:

Welcome, Emma!

As you know, Jennifer had to leave the blog ( D': ) and I didn't want to blog alone so I was looking for a co-blogger and well yaaay, I found someone! Emma has the HONOR (har har, because I'm so fantastic) to be my new co-blogger :D

I met Emma online about a year ago since we both love writing and reading and I'm very happy she will be co-blogging with me since she's a close friend.

So you should say hi to Emma!! She will now be a part of blog and you better look forward to her posts ;D

Her About Me:
"Hi guys! Call me Emma. I’m new to this whole book blogging business, so yeah, go easy on me! I heard Racquel was looking for co-blogger, and thought, ‘Why not me?!’ I’ve always wanted to write reviews on goodreads, because, I’ve always got a lot to say after reading a book. But honestly, who was going to read them? I decided to take this chance anyways, and voila! Here I am! Reader, writer, photographer (lol I wish), and an absolute slacker. My days off are spent reading and sleeping. I’ve been writing stories since I was nine. Finished about three out of hundreds. But lately I’ve been losing myself in fantasy novels. Yeah, fantasy and sci-fi all the way! I cannot go without romance though. I love starry nights and plan on learning all the constellations out there.

Tweet me, message me, email me, do whatever! I love meeting new people and talking about any crazy shit ;)"

There you go, I look forward to Emma's posts as you should to!
