First Comes Love #2
Published
September 7th 2012
Genre: New adult/YA contemporary romance
Can two drastically different, imperfect people be perfect for each other?
It’s been four months since Gray and Dylan have seen each other. Dylan’s been traveling in Europe, while Gray has college, baseball, and a life rooted in one place. Gray’s determined to forget Dylan, the girl he fell in love with in First Comes Love. Besides, how do you make a relationship work with an independent loner?
Just when he decides he’s over her, Dylan makes an unexpected entrance back into his life, hoping their steamy romance can start right where it left off. Gray realizes you can tell your mind to do one thing, but you can’t always convince your heart to follow. Dylan realizes she finally has to make a choice between freedom and her relationship with Gray.
Hilarious, intense, inspiring, and emotional, Second Chance shows that love is a journey, and there are never clear road signs or maps to guide you along. You can only navigate with your heart.
Second Chance is the sequel to First Comes Love, a new adult romance novel about Gray & Dylan. This is probably the sequel that I was most looking forward to! I wanted it even before I even knew it will exist. First Comes Love was short- only 198 pages long of addictive romance and I was in no way ready for it to be over so I really couldn't be happier about Second Chance. It was actually a short wait. Katie announced Second Chance on July 7th and it was released on September 7th :D
Without further ado, I have for Katie's top ten reasons to read this book!1. It’s a slow burn romance of the most delicious kind.
2. Gray is HOT. He plays college baseball and the guitar and he’s smart. Blue eyes and black hair? Yummy.
3. Dylan is a photographer/dreamer and is so inspiring. She is the exact opposite of Gray, yet, they fit perfectly together.
4. Hot and heavy make out scenes.
5. This book is quotable. From page one.
6. It currently costs $3.99 (same as a vanilla latte if you need a point of reference)
7. It’s written in opposite POV’s
8.
9. A fun crew of supporting characters adds just the right amount of humor, sexual tension, and perspective.
10. You’ll crave more.
So yeah, if I wrote this list myself, it would be exactly like the one above (except for #8, obviously)

Like his name, Gray is dark and stormy. Dylan, a girl always searching for what’s next, seemingly unable to settle down, is the exact opposite: full of light and life. On the outside, they seem like an unlikely couple. But looks can be deceiving and besides, opposites attract.
What starts as friendship, turns into admiration, respect and caring, until finally these two lone souls find they are truly in love with each other.
But staying in love is not as easy as falling in love. If Dylan and Gray want their love to last, they’re going to have to work at it. And learn that sometimes love means having to say you’re sorry.
You might be thinking, HOW did she get the cover of Second Chance?! It doesn't match AT ALL but worry not, it DOES match! Here is the cover of the PAPERBACK of First Comes Love:
Personally, I like the hardback cover better because I'm shallow and I like kissing and I like the black color scheme BUT the paperback is actually very fitting for the book! The cactus is PERFECT! And who doesn't adore a simple cover? I love them but again, I like kissing more :p
Second Chance is ONLY $2.99 from the Amazon Kindle So if you read First Comes Love, WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR? GET SECOND CHANCE And if you haven't read First Comes Love, YOU'RE MISSING OUT! It was one of my favorite reads of the summer. Alternating POV between the hero and heroine, it's set after high school, it's contemporary and it's romance. It's basically my perfect book.
