In celebration of International Women's Day on March 8th, we are highlighting a favorite strong heroine every day!
This was easy! Well first thing first, ALL of Julie James's heroines are bad ass woman that you absolute cannot hate and it was hard to pick one for today BECAUSE THEY'RE ALL FANTASTIC AND STRONG but ultimately, I'm going to have to go with Jordan for this one thing.
So, why Jordan? all the reasons! Jordan is confident. Successful. Happy. She has friends she loves and family she cares about. She also happens to be a billionaire heiress. This is noteworthy because usually, rich characters dislike being rich because they don't want money, they want love. This is VERY VERY VERY annoying, can you just be GRATEFUL for what you have?! *breathes* That's why I had to choose Jordan over Julie James's other heroines. Otherwise, Jordan is quite inspiring like the rest of Julie James's heroines. She has a wine store that she's very passionate about (instead of whining about being rich, she has a career she's proud of and she's making MORE money. That is the biggest win in my book!) and even though her twin brother is in prison (not a spoiler!) she's looking at the positive side of things. For some odd reason, it seems like most main characters need to have 99 problems and yeah, people have problems but don't HAPPY exist? Jordan has problems be she never griped about them! (I sense a theme here... NO bitching!). Plain and simple, I want to be a Julie James heroine.
